We'll meet at our bike shop and begin with a bike fitting. From our shop, we'll ride a scenic 2 mile, beach side road to the Battery Point trailhead. We'll hike about a mile down to the beach at battery point through a beautiful rainforest environment on a well maintained trail. This is a great place to spot seals, sea lions, whales, and many types of birds. We'll hike back to our bikes and ride into town, ending our ride at the Haines Brewing Company to try their locally crafted beers (root beer and tea also available).
The Haines Brewing Company occupies a state-of-the-art new building on Main St. in downtown Haines. We'll stop in and sample a few 4 oz. portions of their locally crafted beer. Finally, we'll ride the final mile back to our bike shop to finish the tour.
Included: Bicycle use, helmet (required), and rain gear (if necessary) beer samples. Water available.
Please note: Participants must be confident riding a bicycle with handbrakes and walking 2 miles on dirt trails. Helmets are required and provided. Participants must be at least 13 years old and 4' 6" in height. Sport shoes and layered clothing are recommended. Rain jacket, pants, and fleece gloves are provided if necessary. An ID will be required at the Brewery.

What is the group size?
Groups are small and between 6-12 people for an intimate and personal touring environment.
Will I see any wildlife or bears on this tour?
Wildlife is abundant in Southeast Alaska and sightings are possible on any tour, however this is not a designated wildlife tour and nothing can be guaranteed.
Can I bring a backpack?
All bags are not allowed while on cycling part of the tour.
Can I bring my own food or drink?
Food and drink are not allowed during this tour.
Are food and drink included?
Bottled water are included, beer samples for guests over 21 years old with valid photo ID.
Are there any age restrictions?
There is a minimum age of 13 years old to participate. Additionally, guests must be at least 4 feet 6 inches tall.
Are there any physical requirements for this tour?
Guests must be in reasonable physical condition and capable of operating a bicycle. Please inform the guides about any other physical limitations.
What type of clothing should I wear?
Layered clothing and sneakers or waterproof boots. Sunglasses and gloves are are also recommended.
Do you offer any discounts or promotions?
We offer the local wholesale rates for all of our tours because we feel that everyone should get the same lowest price possible regardless of how many excursions you book. No tricks, no gimmicks, no hidden fees.
Do you offer tours for large groups?
Definitely, arrangements of tours for groups or large families are possible. Please contact us with your group requirements.
Can multiple families book this tour and be together?
Yes! Multiple families may join the same tour as long as adequate space is available and the maximum is not exceeded.
What happens if my ship is delayed getting into port?
If your ship is late, please call your tour operator so that your tour time can be adjusted. If an alternate tour time is not compatible with your schedule, your ticket will be fully refunded with no fees or penalty.
What if my tour is cancelled due to bad weather?
All tours that cancel because of weather will be fully refunded with no fees or penalties.
Where do I meet the tour operator to be picked up for my excursion?
All tours pick-up either at your cruise ship or within a short walking distance of your cruise ship unless otherwise noted. When you purchase your excursion, your ticket will be sent to you via email with detailed meeting instructions and emergency contact information. If you have any questions relating to a specific excursion, please contact the tour operator listed on your ticket.
How close is the pick-up location to the cruise ship?
This will vary from port to port. Most excursions meet you either in front of your cruise ship or within a maximum 5-10 minute walk from your ship unless otherwise noted. All pertinent directions and details will be listed on your ticket.
What happens if the excursion runs late and I miss my ship?
We guarantee that your tour will return on time. If you were to miss your cruise ship because the tour did not return on time, we will comp your hotel, food, and flight costs associated with meeting your cruise ship the next day. We have never had a passenger miss their ship.
Does the tour include transportation?
Yes. All tours pick up from the main cruise ship terminal and include round-trip transportation unless otherwise specified for the specific tour.
What if I am unable to print my ticket before I arrive in port?
All reservations are saved under the name you purchased your excursions and are kept on file with your tour operator. Having your tickets in-hand is the optimal choice to avoid confusion because the directions and meeting instructions are included. Please contact us if you are unable to print the tickets.
