This cruise travels along the rugged coastline in the calm, protected waters of Resurrection Bay.
Fifteen minutes into the cruise we will begin serving our optional all-you-can-eat Alaska salmon and prime rib meal that is freshly prepared onboard. This meal is served buffet style and is consistently rated as the best of any day-cruise company in Southcentral Alaska. While you enjoy our cruising restaurant service you will be able to sit at your reserved seat inside the heated cabin and not miss out on any of the beautiful scenery.
Several alpine glaciers, nestled high in the mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay, can be seen along the route if the weather cooperates. We will also cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.
As we approach the end of Resurrection Bay we will visit Cape Resurrection, home to both Steller sea lions and thousands of nesting seabirds. The captain will stop the boat close to the sea lion colonies and seabird rookeries, providing excellent photo opportunities. Along the route you will have the chance to see abundant wildlife such as whales, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, eagles, mountain goats, and many types of seabirds.
A National Park Ranger will be onboard to provide a detailed narrative on the history, ecology, geology, and wildlife in the area. They are always more than happy to answer all of your questions during the cruise.
Inclusions: Complimentary use of binoculars while onboard, life jackets and live rafts are onboard in case of emergency.
Add on Lunch Details: Our famous all-you-can-eat Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet, freshly-prepared and served onboard while you cruise, is available for an additional $19.
